Since the plugKEY is equipped with a DC5V microUSB port, you can charge your iOS device via the plugKEY. This allows you to use your musical instrument app without worrying about remaining battery life, an important consideration for extended music production sessions, studio rehearsals, or live performances.

With the Korg PlugKey audio and MIDI interface for iOS, playing your instrument apps from a MIDI-equipped keyboard couldn't be easier. Connect the Lightning connector to your iOS device, connect a MIDI cable between your keyboard and the PlugKey, and connect a USB power cable if you want to charge your iOS device at the same time.
